"But even though the choices we make can have an impact and consequences, it doesn't mean it has to be a bad thing. Sometimes the choices we make can be the best thing that ever happened to us. They can be worth every tear, every laugh, and every smile because when it's all said and done it's the ones that make life worth living that really matter."THE STORY
17 year old Gracie made a bad choice in the heat of the moment.
Unprotected sex with her high school quarterback boyfriend Nick.
Nick has a football scholarship for college and the plan was that Gracie was going with him to start their life.
Until she tells Nick about pregnancy.
Grace has made the choice not to have an abortion.
Nick makes the choice to walk away.
From Grace and the baby.
Gracie has made the choice to finish high school, after all this is her senior year. She should be preparing for parties, prom and college.
Not becoming a single mother. But she is determined to do this.
Gracie is scared but has a great supporting cast of friends and family.
Her best friends Meg and Mason is everything she could want.
Her parents (having had her in high school as well) support her decision 100% and her younger brother Tyler thinks she walks on water.
School is already hard enough as a teenager without being pregnant to the quarterback. She is constantly tired and emotional and rumors and whispers get to her. One specific cheerleader is just a .. really not nice person!
It gets too much for Grace and she ends up crying at her locker one day.
While crying she hears someone ask if she is OK. She looks up and meets/starts chatting to Carter Jenkins, the principals son. Instant attraction to the GQ Model looking Barista.
She then makes the choice to get a job to save a bit of cash before the baby comes. Of course she chooses to apply at the local coffee shop where the one and only Carter works.
Carter and Gracie start out as friends, but the more times they spend together they realise they want more.
Grace chooses not to tell Carter about the pregnancy just yet.She want him to like him for her. She also doesn't want to be rejected again.
As fate would have it Carter does find out after Gracie passes out at work and Carter comes to the rescue.
He is 100% cool with it. He wants Gracie, if she comes with a baby then so be it.
That's his choice
He has made some bad choices in the past and is a reformed bad boy, but is trying to be a better person. He becomes Gracies rock.
They choose to get together and are happy until Nick shows up 5 months into the pregnancy.
He's made a mistake.
The wrong choice.
He wants Gracie back.
Can Gracie throw away what she has with Carter, to be a family with Nick?
What will her choice be?
MY HONEST OPINION
I really liked this. I managed to finish it one sitting.
Gracie is beautiful. The whole book is written in her POV. So we get all the ups and downs of the pregnancy, the abandonment from Nick, the bullying at school, her innermost thoughts, the highs that come with Carter, and the comedic relief of her train of thought.
Meg - the best friend. She was awesome. Wouldn't hesitate to do anything for Grace and also the comedic relief when it was needed.
Carter- *sigh* the reformed bad boy. Who doesn't want of those? He really is an awesome guy!
Parents - AWESOME! Her Mum especially, having been through the same thing she is 100% there for Gracie and all her questions.
Nick- When he abandons Gracie. I hated him. then the more the book went on I still didn't like him but I did feel sorry for him.
I do need to advise that there is a secondary story going on this book that I do not want to spoil it. But lets just say when its dropped?
BOOM!
I am assuming that more will be revealed in the next book?
There was some errors in it but not enough to actually notice or to have an effect on your thoughts. For example an " at the start of a sentence etc. I know some people are picky about that and it makes them mad, but I thought it was fine. I just felt like I should point it out before people start talking smack because of it! lol
There is one sex scene in this. I know weird huh? book about Teen pregnancy and only one?! but I thought it was greatly done. Just enough to know what was going on but in no great detail. Good old fashioned Clean YA/NA whatever genre it is ha ha .. Ok so not so clean as Meg swears like a sailor.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it. The writing style, the characters, the progression of it all. At some heartfelt confessions it was a little cheesy, but as a fan as cheese it worked for me!
it all wrapped up in a HEA that I was happy with but I am unsure where the next one will go as I know this is part one of a trilogy.... Just have to wait and see huh?
Annie -
WELL DONE on your second book!
One thing I didn't get though was... If Gracie was such a caffeine addict why didn't she drink coffee? LOL

Choices edition by Annie Brewer Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
While I did enjoy reading this book at times it just seemed too far off. I understand reading isnt supposed to be realistic I do need to be able to feel the situation and there were a few parts that made it not so. It was a good read though and I am happy for the main character how things appeared to work out for her. There is supposed to be a second book coming out from the father's point of view and I will probably read that one too.
4.5 stars!
Okay, guys, first I want to start off with Gracie. She's...okay. I didn't love her and I didn't hate her. I could admire her for her strength though. She seemed to be really immature in the beginning and that really irritated me but by the end, I thought, "Wow. She really grew up." But she had to, right?
Nick. I did not care for him, but like Gracie, I do feel sorry for him. Is it bad that I wish him a HEA, too?
Meg. I LOVED THIS GIRL! I WANT A FREAKING FRIEND LIKE HER! SHE'S SO AWESOME! I found myself nodding along when she would say something or give advice, like, YES! DO THAT, GRACIE! LISTEN TO MEG! She's a wise girl and an amazing friend. Lucky Gracie.
Carter. This guy! This guy is just....UNREAL. That's all I can really say about him because he just leaves me speechless.
.........
Okay, Carter! Get off my brain!
........
Alright, moving on.
There was a lack of editing that could have made the book better if it had been done. It was just hard to figure out who was talking or what a misspelled word was suppose to be.
I liked the plot and how the story progressed. I felt like I was watching 16 & Pregnant, but with a smarter girl. LOL Everything that was happening was realistic.
When I finished last night at 230 am, I was like, I can't wait to see what happens next. I think the next book will be even better. )
This was a fantastic story! I think any teenage girl can totally relate to this. Gracie is a 17 yr. old girl with a bright future and a carefree heart. Nick has been her long term boyfriend and she never would have thought that he would turn his back on her when she discovers that she is pregnant. Confused and hurt, she doesn't know what to do. As this is the case for so many young girls, I think that the author, (also my good friend) did a superb job with describing Gracie's emotional roller coaster ride that is her life. Meg, who is Gracie's bestfriend is such an awesome character! She is a fierce protector and her potty mouth is hilarious! She helps Gracie in the decision to keep her child. Then there's Carter. The young man who steps in and shows Gracie that chivalry is not dead. He is what dreams are made of! If the world were filled with Carter's, it would be a better place. Together, they discover true love and that life is all about the choices you make. This is my first review that I've ever written and I'm so happy to have the opportunity to do it for such a talented writer! Great job Annie Mae! May the writing gods always shine your way! I RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!
I debated whether to give this book one star for its poor writing and lack of proof-reading (Unless the author really meant to describe her mother's hand as "gentile" instead of "gentle".), or to give it five stars for authenticity. It truly does sound like it was written by a self-centered lower-class high school student with questionable English skills. The writing style was redundant, flat, and filled with tired cliches. The story itself was boring and the characters were flat. The only redeeming feature is that a high school student (of low intelligence) might find it interesting and relevant.
