I know many readers get upset with authors for publishing a short rather than the next book of the series. This is a case where the exception breaks the mold. The Spellmongers Yule is an almost complete story but its scope is much more focused then the rest of the series which is why I can see it not being a main story novel. However it gives so much background information for the series that I have trouble seeing readers of the full novels not being a bit lost if they don't follow along.

We the readers get so many answers about the history of the world and history of the races present that it gives us a decent glimpse into the future stories we will have.

This was a good book to read. It gave background to the story and a bridge to the next book. Can't wait.
These Spellmonger novellas are a delight. They illuminate charming links and back stories that enrich the Spellmonger's universe and provide a reminder of why we have become so invested in these characters.
This is a great short story on its own. The story, characters, and editing are wonderful. It is much more though for those like myself are cheerfully addicted to Mancour's Spellmonger. Major sub threads are joined in this pivotal story, and the way forward is clear and glorious. I can't wait to read what happens next. This story isn't just recommended - it's required.
This is a great addition to the story. The most exciting thing to look forward to is you learn the history of this world. You lean about how the human race changed. And more gods appear Major spoiler popeye the sailor man will manifest!!!!!!
I enjoyed this story because of the background and the efforts to help Alya heal. While there is some fun descriptions of fighting, much of the book is on the bigger picture of the world and setting up the context for future battles and negotiations. The last paragraph was very sweet
Another classic novella in the Spellmonger's Universe, really delves further into the backstory of the Human Race and their existence on this planet that has so many competing factions. Does a wonderful job of setting the stage for more, grand story expansion by pulling back the curtain on the "Fog of the World", revealing more about the "true owners of the planet".
Honestly this is a book that fills in a whole bunch of gaps in the story. I mean a lot of the things that were either alluded to or left unsaid have now been filled in. i won't meant say anything because anything i say will spoil the entire story. Besides it was pretty darn good book. Whoever has been reading the series up this point, this vital.
